i well call u tonight..
thanks mr.khaled.. ^_^
loooool
^_^
And ahmad, its Mr Super GrandMaster Khaled ^_^ lool just kidding 🙂
i have one question, is the way this tourney is runned based on islamic law? i mean, if the prizes is going to be raised by collecting the fee’s, then its some sort of gambling i recall.
yea i know khaled..
i saw you in the world championship
and your ranking is : 24.. ^_^
copyright3 thats so not true … the fee is 5 kd the limit is 70 players or around … the total fee is 350kd the prizes only are more than 1000kd beside heaps of other expenses …
the fees are admistrative and mainly to show seriousness.
beside plz guys put islam out the subject … its a game zone not a debate.
i thought so too madrid, but had to make sure.
and i didnt bring islam into chess, but merely about the handling of the fees, you can never be extra careful 😛
Ranking 24 and going up baby ^_^ loool
Copyright, Madrid is right, no “gambling” in this tournament.
Just to put it in perspective, If the entrance fee is 30 KD and we let 100 people join, that still would not be enough to cover expenses 🙂 Food for thought…
And just in case there is huge demand, we might raise the ‘max-limit’ of players by an additional 10 players.
Mr.Hosain Nafadi (head of Egyptian Chess Fed.) died recently on 03rd of Ramadan .. He was a very good man, I was honored to draw a game with him about 25 years ago.. God bless his soul.
Also Chess legend Bent Larsen has died (11th Sep.) at the age of 75. In the memorable year of 1967 he won four first prizes in a row concluding with the Interzonal in Sousse and for this was awarded the 1st Chess Oscar. He was top board above Bobby Fischer in the 1970 USSR vs The World Match scoring 50% against World Champion Boris Spassky. .. a big lose for the chess world. “From TWIC.com”
a correction:
Bent Larsen died in Buenos Aires on 09th Sep.2010 (not 11th Sep.).
