The Soug Sharg Chess Tournament is coming up shortly. In fact, it will start on 30/11/2010.
I repeat, the tournament will start on November 30, 2010! So that is today.
I don’t have all the details, but it is 9 rounds, and the top ten players get prizes like every year.

I literally begged the person who had the results and chased after him for3 weeks by calls and msgs, but in the end, that person stopped receiving my calls.
So if anybody could get me the results, i would be more then happy to post them.
Ahmad hosni has donated over a hundred pictures for website use. The only thing missing is the results.

Last vacation, my cousin came over to stay at my home. We made the most of her stay at my place… and I even earned a few chocolates.
Everyday, we would play a game of chess. Whoever lost the game owed a chocolate to the other. After the last game we played (that was the day she was to leave), we counted the number of games each of us had won and lost. Wow! I had won more than her. So, she handed me 21 chocolates… though she herself was the winner in 8 games.

Answer: 37 Days (if there was no draws between them.)
I tried solving that riddle I think the answer is 21+8=29 days.How did u make the the correct answer to be 37 days Mr Fritz?

– Registry fees 10 KD.
– Games will start at 6:30 daily (exept last day..maybe 6:00).
– So far about 50 participants.
– Only one day rest during ( hopefully not Friday or Saturday ).

Prizes in the previous Souq Sharq Tour. was:
(300) 1st – (250) 2nd – (200) 3rd + Cup for each.
(150) 4th – (???) 5th , and 50 KD up to 10th places.
Also KD prizes for the 1st Junior and same for the 1st Lady.
I think it will be the same this year.
By the way, time will be 1hour for each player + 30 seconds with every clock press.
I think they name it Fischer’s digital clock that gave each player a fixed period of time.

I just received a call from the secretary of KCF.
The tournament has been postponed by 3 days.
So instead of it beginning on Saturday, it will begin on Tuesday, November 30,2010.
I will correct the post when i get back home.
